Brandt Industrial recognizes the importance of technology in the rapidly changing construction industry. We utilize the latest technology including BIM (Building Information Modeling), 3D CAD, and Navis Manage collision check software to model all of our projects.

We employ 80 full time dedicated BIM detailers and virtual designers. These professionals are experienced in all aspects of the construction work and especially proficient in the mechanical/ electrical trades. This not only permits us to identify and resolve conflicts early on, but also facilitates timely and efficient field installations. Simply put, Brandt Industrial’s strategic investments into the pre-planning arena have advanced our ability to minimize risk, maximize safety and complete schedules faster and at less final cost to clients.

Brandt uses Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) for both design and fabrication with cutting-edge technology and full 3D coordination. Our fabrication suite of programs generates detailed reports for shipping, purchasing, and fabrication. Our detailers can create fabrication drawings with an automatic bill of materials generated for each ISO drawing and our CAM software allows for truly seamless integration between our duct models with and our sheet metal fabrication equipment.

The following are a few of the key benefits of our modeling systems:

  • Labor tracking and project scheduling
  • Digital transfer to our fabrication equipment
  • Individual isometric piping shop drawings for prefabrication of piping spools
  • Quantity surveys of actual model for verification of original quantity surveys and purchased quantities
  • Fully coordinated as-built drawings of all electrical, mechanical, and piping systems
  • Interference checks for coordination

High-definition 3D laser scanning is ideal for our projects because the technology gives highly accurate and detailed information with spatial dimensions, pipe sizes, structural details, and more. High-definition surveying can be used on as-built construction to integrate it into a 3D animated model. It can also be used to survey building projects and to assess the accuracy of the construction against the plans.

BOWS™ is the our custom workflow management software application designed to manage all aspects of a Brandt Industrial work order. A work order can be any order placed with one of our fabrication shops or even a task of work to be installed on a job. BOWS takes the complexity out of typical communications between the field job sites and shops. Even the most complex materials requests and delivery scheduling processes are simplified within a single workflow system.
